What Can We Do for You?


At imFixed, we provide various warranties dependent on the type of repair and the device being repaired.


Although the use of our repair service may void your manufacturer’s warranty. If your device is still under warranty, then please take it to the manufacturer. The warranty is linked to a specific device as identified by its unique IMEI number or serial number and to a customer as identified by the records on our system.


The imFixed Warranty will cover you for any re-occurrence of the original fault and for the part replaced or repaired only. If additional faults arise, they will not be covered under the terms of this warranty. Additionally, the warranty will not cover accidental damage, nor will the cover extend should the device CHANGE OWNERSHIP.

  • Repairs to accessories and controllers are warranted for three months; other liquid damage is warranted for one month.
  • Logic Board Repair: 1 Month’s Warranty
  • Refurbished or used electronics

All refurbished and second-hand devices are valid for return and refund within 30 days of purchase. After these 30 days, you are only eligible for repair or replacement for faults not caused by accidental damage. The “repair or replace” policy is only valid for 3 months after purchase.


Terms and Conditions of Warranty


1.1 This Agreement commences from the date you pass the device to an imFixed representative and continues until we have repaired or otherwise returned your device (“Services”), whichever is sooner, and received any payment due from you.


1.2 We will use all reasonable efforts to repair your device, subject to the availability of any required parts and/or the terms of any applicable guarantee or warranty. We will provide the services with reasonable care and skill.


1.3 Any time estimate for completion of the service, which may be given to you, is an estimate only and does not form any obligation under the terms of this agreement.


1.4 We shall notify you when the device has been repaired and is available to return (mail in repairs) or collection. If you do not collect the device within 60 days, we may dispose of it. Any sum obtained on disposal will be used to meet any unpaid estimate or repair charges you are liable to pay, and any remaining balance will be payable by you accordingly.


1.5 If we are unable to complete the service for any reason, or if the service will incur further costs payable by you, we will notify you immediately.


1.6 Our out of warranty/chargeable repairs are guaranteed for one year from the date the device is returned to you from our offices or repaired on site.


For liquid-damaged devices, the warranty is only valid for 30 days and only relates to any parts that were fitted during the repair. If the equipment develops an additional fault unrelated to the original repair, the repair warranty contained in this paragraph will not apply. The warranty only covers the repaired part(s) and does not cover any additional damage to the repaired part(s). We are not liable for the postage costs of getting the device to us, but we do cover return postage for warranty repairs only.


1.7 For devices that have dents to the metal rear covers or frame surrounds (particularly relevant for iPad, Microsoft Surface, and iPhone front glass repairs), our technicians may need to straighten or file away small areas to ensure the correct positioning of replacement front glass or screens and to prevent any sharp edges causing injury. We make every effort to minimise the cosmetic appearance of such repairs. Generally, it is not necessary to replace the rear covers for minor dents, but if you prefer to have a cosmetically “perfect” repair, we are able to fit brand new replacement rear covers for an additional charge if required.


1.8 We conduct testing both before and after repair to identify any additional faults in your device. For devices that have been given to us following accidental damage, e.g., the device has been dropped or has experienced water damage, some internal components can be weakened but still appear to function normally. Whilst these weaknesses may not be evident on pre-testing, the repair process itself (by opening up the device) can sometimes cause these weakened components to develop a fault. Our technicians take great care when repairing your devices, but prevention of further damage to an already weakened component cannot be guaranteed. We will notify you of any additional repairs that may be required and will request your approval before proceeding. We are not liable if additional faults are identified as a result of the repair process itself. Whilst we make every effort to warn customers if there is potential for additional faults or complications, this cannot always be known in advance.


1.9 Mobile devices that are sold as being waterproof are originally sealed in the manufacturer’s factory with special machines and special liquid-proof gaskets. When we carry out a repair on a waterproof device that involves opening and closing the device, we cannot guarantee that your device will be 100% waterproof after the repair process has been completed. We replace all the gaskets required, but only the manufacturers of the device have access to the specialised equipment required. However, we always use the best possible techniques.


Repair, Refunds, or Replacement

Subject to 1.7 and 1.6 above, refunds will only be given once imFixed has attempted repair or we deem the phone to be irreparable and the repair is within the warranty period.


2.0 What is Covered Under the Warranty/Guarantee? 


2.1 If a repair is to be carried out under a guarantee or warranty, we may ask you to provide evidence of such a warranty or guarantee.


2.2 You will be liable for our charges for any repair or part of a repair that falls outside the terms of any guarantee or warranty. 


2.3 All parts used by imFixed are warranted for one year from the date your phone is returned to you. 


The warranty includes only those parts repaired or supplied by us and does not cover any accidental damage to the repaired parts. The mobile device’s repair warranty contained in this paragraph shall not apply if your mobile device develops any additional faults unrelated to the original repair, the repair warranty contained in this paragraph shall not apply.


2.4 If the repair is not covered by a guarantee or warranty, or if it falls outside the scope of the guarantee or warranty, you will be charged in accordance with the estimate provided. 


2.5 Accidental damage will be determined by imFixed inspection of the device. Signs of accidental damage to the parts fitted by imFixed, such as cracks, dents, or marks from the impact, will void your warranty.


2.6 Liquid Injury 

The liquid damage diagnosis fee is taken up front and is non-refundable and not included in the final repair cost. All liquid damage repairs performed by IM Fixed will be guaranteed for 30 days. You will receive a refund for the cost of repairs carried out if the initial repairs cannot be rectified with re-repair attempts. Note: The initial diagnostic charge and non-reusable parts such as chip-sets, capacitors, and resistors are non-refundable charges.


2.7 Repairs to logic boards 

All logic board repairs carried out by IM Fix shall be guaranteed for a period of 30 days. If the repair fails within the 30-day period, we will attempt re-repairs under warranty. If we are unable to repair the device, we will issue a refund on the repair and parts used. Note: The initial diagnostic charge is non-refundable. Any work being carried on logic boards may cause further unavoidable damage due to the sensitive and fragile nature of the repair, and IM Fixed cannot accept liability for any such damage. If the logic board repair is not successful, there may be a charge of £20 for any parts used.


2.8 If you are unhappy with your repair and you wish to have your old part changed back, you will be charged a £35 labour fee for the time we have spent on the device. However, we can only issue a refund if the part is still in good condition and shows no signs of accidental damage. If we issue you a refund, then the £35 will be deducted from your refund amount and you will be refunded the rest of the repair price minus the £35.


3.0 Liability 


3.1 imFixed Liability to you in relation to any issue arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall, at our discretion, be limited to: (a) payment of the cost of having the repair done again; (b) repayment of any amount you paid in respect of the repairs; and (c) replacement of your mobile device with a mobile device of the same or similar quality, in that order.


3.2 Any data or information stored on your mobile device is your sole responsibility, and imFixed is not liable for any loss or corruption of such data. It is your responsibility to make sure that all data on the device is properly backed up.


3.3 Nothing in this clause shall be construed to limit or exclude our liability for: (a) breach of any statutory terms; or (b) any claim arising under the Consumer Protection Act of 1987. 


3.4 We will not be liable to you for any indirect, special, or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, including any loss of business, profits, or goodwill, or any other indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind, however caused. 


3.5 We will not be liable for any damages arising from this Agreement unless you provide us with written notice of your claim within 30 days of becoming aware of the circumstances giving rise to the claim, or, if earlier, within 30 days of the time you should reasonably have become aware of such circumstances. 


3.6 We will not be liable to you if we fail to perform our obligations under this Agreement due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. 

3.7 We are not liable for the loss or damage of devices during shipment or courier, and any loss or damage will remain the responsibility of the company contracted for shipment or courier.


4.0 Diagnosis 


4.1 A diagnosis fee of £20 shall be charged in relation to any fault-finding investigation carried out by imFixed on any smartphone, but any such fee shall be waived if imFixed is commissioned to repair the fault or is unable to repair the fault.


4.2 A diagnosis fee of £35 shall be charged in relation to any fault-finding investigation carried out by imFixed on tablets, but any such fee shall be waived if imFixed is commissioned to repair the fault or is unable to repair the fault.


4.3 A diagnosis fee of £35 is charged upfront for laptops and desktop computers and is non-refundable. This diagnostic fee will not be included in your final repair price.
